news around town

there was another murder here. it occured nearby. the local news is limited in coverage as usual. in fact, i don't think there are any investigative reporters left on our local papers. we don't watch tv because they got rid of the investigative journalist years ago.

drought about round here

it has been a dry season for us this year but it is raining today and that's nice. in fact, really nice as we get to enjoy it without a need to rush through it to get to work or whatever. it is just an easy day.

these pictures of drought were taken at lake michie; the source of water in this town. there should be deep water up to the tree line. as you see, it is more of a small creek at the moment which is a bit frighting if you dwell on it.

we depend on water so much but it seems these days our governments care about oil so much more.
